Shaping Bullhead City's Future—Together

General Plan Update (2026)

The City of Bullhead City is updating its General Plan—our community’s long-range vision for growth, development, and quality of life over the next 10 years.

This process is guided by a Public Participation Plan adopted by the City Council to ensure residents, businesses, and stakeholders have meaningful opportunities to provide input every step of the way.

Why Update the General Plan?

Arizona law requires cities to update and voter-ratify their General Plan every 10 years. Bullhead City’s current plan was approved in 2016 and must be updated and approved by voters in November 2026.

This update provides an opportunity to:

  • Reflect current community priorities

  • Plan for future growth and development

  • Address infrastructure and service needs

  • Ensure continued economic vitality

  • Preserve the quality of life residents value
