The Bullhead City Animal Resource Center (BARC) is a safe and caring environment for lost, stray, or surrendered animals. We are committed to the health, safety, and welfare of both residents and animals and provide essential services to manage and care for the local pet population. We take in over 1,800 animals each year and operate as a no-kill facility. We’re proud to be a network partner with Best Friends Animal Society.

Our team works hard to reunite lost pets with their families, find loving homes for adoptable animals, and ensure animals are treated humanely throughout the community. We encourage responsible pet ownership by offering licenses for Bullhead City residents, vaccination clinics, and spay/neuter resources. We also regularly work with rescue groups, volunteers, and local partners to promote pet adoption and community awareness. Residents are encouraged to get involved through adoption, volunteering, or donating to support the shelter’s mission.
