What is Neighborhood Watch?
Neighborhood Watch is neighbors helping neighbors—working together to keep the community safe. Members serve as extra eyes and ears, reporting suspicious activity and supporting the Bullhead City Police Department’s crime prevention efforts.
How It Works
At Neighborhood Watch meetings, residents:
- Meet and connect with neighbors
- Learn how to make their homes more secure
- Watch out for each other and the neighborhood
- Report suspicious activity to the police
Participants are trained to recognize signs of suspicious or criminal behavior and to share that information with law enforcement.
What Neighborhood Watch Is Not
Neighborhood Watch members are not vigilantes. They do not take the law into their own hands or replace police officers. Their role is to observe, report, and help foster a safer community.
Neighborhood Watch can make any neighborhood a better, safer place to live—through cooperation, communication, and community pride.
Why Neighborhood Watch Works
Neighborhood Watch strengthens community safety by turning residents into the eyes and ears of the Bullhead City Police Department.
With more citizens than police officers, the program significantly expands the reach of law enforcement. Criminals must remain on guard—not only against patrol cars—but against entire neighborhoods actively watching for suspicious activity. This added vigilance helps deter crime and fosters a stronger sense of community.
Anyone Can Participate
Any resident can join, no matter how busy their schedule. Simply staying alert and looking out for neighbors can make a big difference.
