NOTICE: Building Code Adoption
On 04/16/2024, the Bullhead City Council approved the Development Services department's request to adopt the 2018 code year editions of the International Code Council construction codes and the 2017 code year edition of the NFPA national electrical code with local code amendments.
NOTICE: International Fire Code
Per the Bullhead City Fire Department, all commercial and multifamily plans submitted on or after July 1, 2026, must reference the 2024 International Fire Code, as adopted by the Arizona State Fire Marshal's Office. The City of Bullhead City will continue using the currently adopted 2018 code cycle for all other I-Codes and will coordinate with local fire department staff to address any conflicts that may arise due to differences between the code-year requirements.

Additional time may apply if your project requires outside agency review by: Utility service providers, BHC Fire Department, Mohave County Health Department, ADEQ, etc.
