Streetlight Districts

A street lighting district is a designated area where the City of Bullhead City provides and maintains public lighting for streets, highways, parks, and alleyways.

To fund this service, the City places a surcharge on the annual property tax bill of each property owner within the district. The surcharge amount is based on several factors, including:

• The cost of lighting in the district
• The assessed benefit to each parcel

These districts ensure safe and well-lit public spaces throughout the community.
