Below are pets currently at our facility. Most are ready for adoption, but a few are still on stray holds or need a little more time before they can go to new homes.

To learn more about each pet, click on their profile and check their availability. We list pets who are on stray holds along with adoptable pets so that if owners don’t pick them up, others can plan ahead to adopt.

Standard Adoption Fee: $100
Positive Paws Sponsored Fee: $70
SAINT Sponsored Fee: $50
Swanty’s Sponsored Fee: $30
Veteran Fee: $75 (proof of Veteran status required)

All adoptions include:

Health exam
Spay or neuter surgery
Rabies vaccination
First preventative and age-appropriate vaccination(s)
One-year license for Bullhead City residents
Local pet discounts and training resources

Animals without identification: held for 4 business days.
Animals with identification: held for 6 business days.
Animals brought in due to owner passing away or being hospitalized: held for 10 business days.
Animals belonging to owners involved in legal matters (e.g., arrest or incarceration): held for 10 calendar days.

If not claimed and in good health with no signs of aggression, animals are made available for adoption after their applicable holding period.

Note: "Business days" are defined as days the shelter is open to the public for normal operations.

What We Do.

Our caring staff is ready to help you find the right pet for your home. The Bullhead City Animal Shelter takes in a variety of animals each year—over 1,800—including dogs, cats, and sometimes birds, chickens, reptiles, and more. If you don’t find the perfect match today, check back often. New animals arrive throughout the week.
