Service Animals, Pets, & Caregivers

We are happy to assist riders with service animals, pets, and caregivers. Our team is here to ensure you and your companions have a safe and comfortable experience when using BATS.

Service Animals

The Bullhead Area Transit System (BATS) welcomes service animals and allows them to ride free of charge.

Service animals must remain under the handler’s control at all times.
They may not sit on passenger seats and must sit or lie on the floor.
Service will be denied if the animal is aggressive, disruptive to transit operations, or not housebroken.

Pets

BATS also allows pets to travel free of charge.

All pets must be in a secure pet carrier.
Carriers must not take up a passenger seat.

Personal Care Attendants (PCA) / Caregivers

Passengers with disabilities who need assistance are encouraged to have a registered caregiver or personal care attendant ride with them.

PCAs and caregivers ride free when traveling with the passenger between the same origin and destination.
