In 2018, the City Council approved a 5-year graduated rate increase for wastewater customers. Until 2019, residential wastewater rates had not changed in 15 years. In 2003, the City even lowered the rate from $33.50 to $31.00.

Utility Rate Increase
Public Hearing
The City of Bullhead City held a public hearing on September 16, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. in the Bullhead City Council Chambers to review proposed utility rate changes.
Key Information
- A water/sewer base rates adjustment was approved.
- A water/sewer base rates will increase by 8% beginning with the January 2026 billing cycle.
- The City Council approved this increase after reviewing revenues and expenditures for the water/wastewater system.
- A letter has been mailed to all customers explaining the change.

Effective with the August billing cycle:

Residential base rate: $35.55 → $36.26 (2% increase)
