Real Property Auctions

The City of Bullhead City acquires real property through purchase, donation, abatement actions, lien foreclosures, delinquent special assessments, and other conveyances.

The Real Estate Owned (REO) Committee periodically reviews City-owned property and recommends to the City Council whether to retain or sell each parcel.

Properties available for public sale are listed online through the Public Surplus website. To participate in the bidding process, buyers must register with Public Surplus and have an email address.

Special Assessment Auctions – Current Auctions

Properties with delinquent installments may be subject to public auction if payments are not brought current.

Under the State Improvement District Law, the City has no authority to extend payment deadlines or waive penalties and costs.

As trustee for improvement districts, the City:

Collects assessments levied against property owners within the districts.
Disburses funds to retire Water Infrastructure Finance Authority (WIFA) loans used to finance improvements.

These loans are secured by a lien on each parcel within the district. If a property owner defaults, the City may enforce an auction sale to meet the debt service requirements of the improvement loans.

Special Assessment Auctions – Current Listings

If property owners do not bring their delinquent installment payments current, the City may hold a public auction for those properties.

Surplus Item Auctions

The City of Bullhead City sells surplus items such as office equipment, furniture, and vehicles that are no longer in use.

You can view available items on the Public Surplus website. To participate in an auction, you must create an account and provide a valid email address.
