Political Sign-Free Zones
17.42.057 Political sign-free zones.
A. Arizona Revised Statutes § 16-1019(F) permits municipalities to designate sign-free zones to be free from political signage within rights-of-way in commercial tourism, resort and hotel areas that would otherwise be subject to the placement of political signs under 16-1019(C).
B. The city council finds that various areas within the city could qualify as areas with a predominance of commercial tourism, resort and hotel uses.
C. The city council will designate specific areas as sign-free zones by resolution.
D. Sign-free zones may be enforced in accordance with Arizona Revised Statutes § 16-1019(D).

- One (1) Mayor Position with a 4-Year Term
- Two (2) City Council Member Positions with 4-Year Terms
- One (1) City Council Member Position with a 2-Year Term **
**An election for a 2-Year position may take place if an incumbent elected to a 4-Year term in 2024 decides to resign and run for the Office of Mayor.
Term of Office
- Three (3) 4-Year Terms begin November 2026 and end November 2030
- One (1) 2-Year Term begins November 2026 and ends November 2028
