Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) – Access at Bullhead City Municipal Court

The Bullhead City Municipal Court is committed to providing full and equal access to the judicial system for individuals with disabilities. In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Arizona state law, the Court provides reasonable accommodations to ensure access to services and proceedings.

A disability is defined as a physical or mental impairment that limits one or more major life activities.

ADA Services Available

The following services are available at the Bullhead City Municipal Court:

• Assistive Listening System (ALS)
• Sign Language Interpreters
• Service Animals:

• Service animals are permitted in all areas of the court where the public is normally allowed.
• Under the ADA, service animals include dogs and miniature horses that are trained to perform tasks for individuals with disabilities.
• Service animals must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered unless doing so interferes with the animal’s work or the individual’s disability prevents it. In these cases, the handler must maintain control through voice, signal, or other effective methods.

Requesting an Accommodation:

If you need a disability-related accommodation, complete the Reasonable Accommodation Form.

Requests must include:

• A description of the requested accommodation.
• A statement explaining the impairment that requires the accommodation.

The Court may ask for additional information about your request. All information will remain confidential unless you provide written consent or disclosure is required by law.

Please allow up to 30 days for your request to be processed.

Filing an ADA Grievance:

If you believe you have been discriminated against by Mohave County Courts based on a disability, you may file a grievance under Title II of the ADA.  Complete the ADA Grievance Form and return the form to:
