Bureau of Criminal Investigations
The Bureau of Criminal Investigations includes several specialized units that work together to investigate serious crimes and support public safety throughout Bullhead City.
General Investigations Section
Investigates major crimes, such as homicides, sexual offenses, crimes against children, fraud, assault and property crimes.
Forensic Unit
Provides crime scene analysis and evidence processing. Our forensics specialists are responsible for documenting and processing evidence collected at crime scenes. They respond to major incidents to ensure accurate and secure evidence collection that supports investigations and prosecutions.
Vice Narcotics Section
Works with local agencies and task forces - including MAGNET (Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement Team) - to investigate the illegal use and distribution of narcotics.
Gang Interdiction Unit
Address gang-related criminal activity through investigation and intervention. Bullhead City’s Gang Interdiction Officers are assigned to the state gang task force, GIITEM (Gang & Immigration Intelligence Team Enforcement Mission). They focus on gang-related activity and gather intelligence to support prevention and enforcement efforts.
Property Crime Unit
Focuses on investigating theft, burglary, and other property-related offenses. The Property Crime Unit works closely with local pawn shops and secondhand dealers to identify and recover stolen items. The unit’s goal is to return property to rightful owners and help hold offenders accountable.
