FAQs

Fireworks are only allowed during specific times of the year. 
According to City ordinance, you may use permissible consumer fireworks only during the following dates: 

  • June 24 – July 6
  • December 24 – January 3 

Fireworks are not allowed in the Colorado River Nature Center. 

What Fireworks Are Permitted? 

Permissible fireworks (as defined by APA 87-1) include: 

  • Ground and handheld sparkling devices
  • Cylindrical and cone fountains
  • Illuminating torches
  • Wheels and ground spinners
  • Flitter sparklers
  • Toy smoke devices
  • Wire sparklers or dipped sticks 

Aerial fireworks, such as bottle rockets, sky rockets, and any fireworks that explode, are illegal in Arizona.

Beer is allowed in City parks with limitations. 
You may bring beer to Bullhead City parks as long as it’s no more than 40 oz. and not in a glass container. You must be at least 100 feet away from a city-sponsored or city-permitted youth activity.

Arizona law requires children to ride in a car seat or booster seat until they reach 4'9″ or 8 years old.
