What We Do

We support the City Council, Planning and Zoning Commission, Board of Adjustment, and other development-related committees in shaping the City’s future. Our team works with developers, architects, and engineers to guide land use and construction, ensuring every project aligns with Bullhead City’s long-term goals.

Our Responsibilities

Planning and Zoning staff:

Administer and enforce the City’s General Plan and zoning codes
Review rezoning, subdivision, and variance requests
Process conditional use permits
Review commercial building permit submittals for zoning compliance
Issue sign permits
Provide zoning information, including setbacks and legal descriptions
Coordinate code updates and prepare special reports
Serve as a liaison to other government agencies on land use matters
Apply for and manage grants related to planning projects
Community Engagement
